Volkswagen EOS
The Eos is a small convertible coupe sports car sold by Volkswagen since 2006. It replaces the Cabrio in the Volkswagen lineup. The roof on this convertible is one-of-a-kind, with 5 pieces that fold into the trunk at the push of a button and an integrated glass sunroof for the front panel of that roof. It takes about 25 seconds for the roof to move from the up position to completely in the trunk.

There have been five engines sold with the Eos. The smallest is the 1.6 liter I4 with a 6 speed manual transmission, which is only sold to European markets. The 2.0 liter turbocharged I4 and the 3.2 liter V6 with 6 speed DSG transmission are the engine options in the United States, and are also the largest engine options currently sold with the Eos.

Although these cars may look small, the Eos actually has the same wheelbase as the Jetta and the Golf. It is actually more similar, however, to the Volkswagen Passat, which is shares a current platform with.

So far, all Eos models have been sold with front wheel drive, but with the technology that Volkswagen has in its hands don't be surprised if an all wheel drive model comes along in the coming years.

The Eos is a little too new to be seen in great quantities on the used car market. The easiest place to find a used VW Eos is on eBay, where you can sometimes find dealer surplus and off-lease vehicles for cheap.
